Yes. Apparently the end of the world is upon us, because K-ON is ending real soon! Laments include denying moetakus their reason to live, and stuff along that line.

Actually, I doubt it is the end. With the passing of time, there will be new moe brimming shows to captivate the attention of the ever fickle worshippers of all that is adorable (aka moe). Worry not, my friend! There will be new Azu-nyans for your fapping pleasures!

Not much elaboration is required from me when I assertively say that Hollywood is definitely gonna make really awesome renderings of certain anime show. Dragonball had Goku (as a Gaijin) going to high school and Zac Efron is gonna be Sousuke in Hollywood’s version of Full Metal Panic.

Slam Dunk taught us that it is manly and awesome to play basketball. It is believed, in my circumspection, that a decent lot of boys in Asia were influenced by Inoue’s masterpiece into going to the courts to shoot the ball. Hikaru No Go was presented Go as a cool and smart passtime, and soon there were kids who thought that Go was their true calling in life (for 2 months).

K-ON, I bet, will drive moetakus into learning the electric guitar before giving up after Kyo-ani produces the next moe show.

Yeah. These shows are the “Walkthroughs of Life” for Anime Fans who do not go out. What other shows have been guilty of inspiring anime fans into picking up a new pastime (that does not last)?

Sakuracon has succeeded in something that CLANNAD ~After Story~ has failed to do: entertain me.

The unfavourable response from group of commentators on ANN baffles me. Yeah. I think the Sakuracon advertisement, which featured a bunch of Japanese pop-culture fans shouting out a bunch of catchphrases, is satiric in nature. Also, it was pretty fun and effective.

A satire is suppose to exaggerate reality in order to raise awareness. By doing so, the satire is suppose to succeed in affecting people to REFORM. Would you have felt a pang of guilt after witnessing the overzealous profusion by those actors? The advertisement is imploring greater sensibility and moderation in one’s hobbies. By seeing how ridiculous the lovers of “GAY ROCK” and “GUHROOGAMESH” are, hopefully one would reform by showing more maturity when attending an anime con (for example, do not break trees or spank people with paddles).

Is the advertisement insulting? Does it present an inaccurate depiction of anime fandom in America? I am not sure. But I have heard of funny anecdotes of people in my college acting really weeaboos-ish in first semester Japanese classes. How weeaboo can they get? Well, I was told by a friend of mine that he has a female classmate in his first semester Japanese class who friggin imitates the mannerism of L from Death Note. Now that has to suggest something. Man I really do not know what Sakuracon was thinking when they made that ad. It is so blatant in its mocking. While people like me are able to laugh at it and do some self-reflection, there will be others who are not so graceful.

Putting that aside. Let us talk about the fact that there was a parody of the original advertisement that was requested by Sakuracon to be removed off Youtube.

MAN. WHY WAS I ACTING SO POLITE? THE SAKURACON ADVERTISEMENT HAS DONE NOTHING BUT TO INCREASE MY DESIRE TO VISIT A CON FOR THE LULZ.

SO WHY DID SAKURACON DEMAND THAT THE YU-GI-OH PARODY OF THEIR AD BE REMOVED? IT IS A DESERVING (BUT EVIL) SPIRITUAL SUCCESSOR OF THE ORIGINAL! UNLESS THEY DID NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT THE ORIGINAL HAD SUCCEEDED IN DOING, THERE WAS NO NEED TO ASK FOR THE REMOVAL OF THE PARODY!

OH WAIT. I KNOW IT. SAKURACON IS JEALOUS OF THE PARODY BECAUSE THE PARODY EXCEEDS THE ORIGINAL IN ITS AFFEECTIVE ABILITY!!!!

Man… I wanna go to my first con.

Sojourner’s Summary of ID SOJOURNER’s stupidity

The Sakuracon advertisement is a sad case of exaggerated and insulting truth.
ID SOJOURNER does not hate the ad like the Chicks on Anime because he likes mockery, justified or not.
Even if the Sakuracon ad is not 100% accurate, it ought to be grimly taken as a reminder of childish fan behaviour.
There is no point in being offended by the “inaccurate depiction.” If you are not like that, good for you. The ad deserves none of your anger and attention.
Sakuracon’s request for the removal of the Yu-Gi-Oh ad parody is an oxymoron because the parody has the same message as the ad. Thus, Sakuracon’s actions contradicts the purpose of broadcasting their ad.
GUHROOGAMESH!

New OP; not too shabby. Seravee’s backpack is capable of morphing into a Gundam too! It is the calm before the storm! The preview tells us that something will happen just like how something happened in this episode.

And allow me to offer some alternatives to sum up my feelings in regards to this excellent episode. Done. I conclude the most adequate of reviews for this episode.

Two words: I am impressed! The setting stirs my interest. My curiosity for the characters has been incited. White Album must just be the next awesome drama to rock my world.

It took one episode to mesmerize me with all it had to offer. Concise and well executed, the introduction presents to us the plight of our protagonist; as he is dating an idol, uncertainty in the relationship is constantly present in his mind because of the little time he has to spend with his girlfriend. Oh the struggles of innocent love! Oh the beauty that effuses in underlying sorrow!

Despite the fact that the first episode does nothing but the unveiling of the curtains, I can say with assurance that the episode one has been well done!

Whoever invented new anime season previews is a genius. They are so hilarious when you look back at them, and seeing how inaccurate they can been. A seemingly convincing stab in the darkness is what I call them.

Anyway, I shall delve into the field of previews by providing my very first one! This season is promising despite the fact that there are only TWO new anime for the new winter season.

1. Maria Holic

Looks yuri to me. Very promising.

2. Maria Sama Ga Mite Iru 4

Very promising.

Pictures were obtained from THAT animeblog because I am a lazy bloke. Go check their preview as well! I do not know why their preview is featuring anime shows that do not and will not exist! There is only Maria Holic and Maria Sama Ga Mite Iru 4.

Okay. I got my own picchars. Mari Holic is not exactly yuri because one of the ‘girls’ is a trap. Could someone feed him some polymorph juice? Also, I still do not understand why THAT animeblog’s preview has anime shows that do not and will not exist!

My friend, if you are still keen on stiring something up, I implore that you perish the thought.

No no no! I felt that something was really lacking during that part of the concert, and if I am not wrong, the concert was the final event of the entire AFA.

What they should have done is that when the first fan goes up to receive his copy of the autograph, the manager should hand him/her a PINEAPPLE CAKE instead.
