It is the start of the new year and the start of many more new games. Although PS3 games have never reached the potential that blue ray can achieve, it seems like Blue Ray is the equivalent to the Microsoft Vista of the day: Powerful but crappy.

PS3 has no friends =(
Somehow the sales rose despite its crappiness with a promise that more games will be capable to take over the full use of blue ray. An example is MGS4. Now, as the sales rose by 150%, but still lag behind the 360 and Wii, PS3 has yet again failed to meet its expectations.

AWWWWW....
PS3 promised superb graphics and a whole new experience using Blue Ray, just like Microsoft promised that of Direct X 10. Sadly, it has failed, not only to deliver graphics, but games as well! Not only did it fail to provide release dates for games, it has lost more titles which buyers were eagerly counting days off to buy. These two titles have struck the rage of many PS3 fanboys, namely Dragon Quest X and Monster Hunter 3! Check out the release date on these sites: PS3, Wii.
Wait, did you see Wii? Oh yes! Developers have decided that it is toooo expensive to develop games on the PS3 and it is more viable to release them on the 360 and Wii instead. As DQX and MH3 do not have a lot of fans on the 360, A middle line must be drawn. That middle line is Wii. I can only say, this year, Wii will be an entire new system, winning the hearts of both east and west. I can’t wait to play a gunner in MH3 and using the Zapper to zap Rathalos to the grave. Since many games haven’t received word of release dates, how many more of these games will be cancelled. Now, what will we be using our PS3s for? Grilling?
Of course, it is logical, only to note that people make mistakes, and the game developers have recklessly rushed into trying to create games for the PS3, only to find its system not efficient and very costly. Now Nintendo and Microsoft will open their arms wide to these devs who will then decide to bring their games to cheaper and better alternatives.
I’m very sorry PS3 fanboys, but the release for Last Remnant has yet to be announced while it has already been released on the 360 more than a month ago. Also, its release on the PC has been expected to be in Mid 2009. Little information has known about its release on the PS3. Why should one person pay more to wait extra long to play a game? Have you been cheated? Someone once said that PS3 boasted many titles of JRPGs. We will see…
Will the PS3 squeeze its way out till blue ray becomes cheap? Will the PS3 find a new system for developers? Will the PS3 live on to see the light like Vista? or will it just crumble and die…?
I’m sorry Sony I had to publish this post.
Sincerely,
The P-Meister

this is so wrong, it’s probably not worth commenting on.

It is so true that my PS3 is collecting dust since MGS4…

I’m sorry you just had to publish this post given how lousy it is.
//Although PS3 games have never reached the potential that blue ray can achieve//
What potential? Blu-Ray is a storage medium, it can’t make graphics magically better or anything like that, what it does do is make the PS3 a Blu-Ray player, a helpful addition now that Blu-Ray has won the hi-def wars.
Something however that has been quite helpful game wise has been that a decent sized hard drive is standard with every PS3 which allows for the installation of games, a benefit that Microsoft has disregarded to it’s peril and trying to catch up ever since.
//These two titles have struck the rage of many PS3 fanboys, namely Monster Hunter 3!//
Which is odd because many of the games that Capcom has released on the Wii have ended up commercial flops, that they would put it on the Wii seems to be Capcom trying to find a way to not have to give up on the Wii. Besides this is Capcom we’re talking about, if MH3 proves to be a hit on the Wii, you can be sure that it’s exclusivity will be strictly temporary.

Be glad that it hasn’t, the X360 version is extremely unpolished, and it probably could use an extra year of work.

The key thing isn’t how many JRPGs a console receives, it’s how many GOOD ones a console receives, and X360 has gotten far more bad ones than good ones so far.

Yes, so more data can be stored, textures, details and storyline. Sadly, its cross platform games aren’t exclusively amazing and it hasn’t shown the true power of blue ray.
Let me quote from incgamers
—>>>One of the presenters, a famous comedian, explained what he thought was so great about the PS3 – and it had nothing to do with games. “It can play Blu-Rays… have you seen adult videos on Blu-Ray?! I’ve got my PS3 hooked up to a 50-inch plasma and their boobs look massive!” <<<—
PS3 is a good media centre but a pretty meh gaming machine.

MH is one of the few good games capcom has made. Capcom has generally make some crappy games but it has and will never go wrong with MH. I suppose little kids would love to swing their arms around killing monsters so we’ll see.
If capcom doens’t want to give up on the Wii, why drop the PS3 project? If you know capcom well, then you should understand that they are short on cash because SF4 and Resident Evil 5 are going to do real bad in sales. They won’t sacrifice a PS3 project if they believe that the PS3 will be successful. So you’re saying capcom made a mistake?
Well, i’m sure they hit one of the hard corners of the road while making a PS3 game, because making PS3 games is an expensive and difficult process, much more difficult than Wii and 360 anyways. You’ll prolly need a manual as thick as the bible. To summarise: THEY GAVE UP ON THE PS3, not the other way round! If you need proof, its here, fresh from Capcom themselves.
//Be glad that it hasn’t, the X360 version is extremely unpolished, and it probably could use an extra year of work.//
And be glad that the PS3 hasn’t got a release date yet, cuz its coming out on the PC first. LOL

I wonder why the PS3 fanboys signed a petition about JRPGs. LOLz. PS3fanboy.com is promoting it.
do you want to know why PS3 is losing a lot of exclusives. Cuz they refuse to bribe 3rd party devs to make games exclusive, which is a very logical strategy that they have failed to see. This way, other consoles get a feet into PS3 soil but PS3 can’t get into theirs. I can make a rough guess why MH3 was stolen by the Wii. Nintendo paid them raw $$.

In the long run, I think ps3 will win. It is actually the best system for developers. Wii is winning because it is cheap and family oriented and the 360 because it is American and it’s user base online.
