Finally, after 6 months of ups and downs, some interesting and others gimmicky yet interesting episodes, To Love Ru has ended. While it made many sausages hard and stiff, it had its warm moments(not slimy-warm but heart-warm), especially the final episode.

Summary with my thoughts

The episode carries on the ‘Main Plot’ after many of the characters are introduced. Now, although there are many girls in love with him, we know he’ll either end up with Lala or Haruna. Should he go ahead and win the race, he will have to drop Haruna, who I feel has always been the dominant winner in terms of winning Rito’s heart. It was all clear when Lala got the flu in a previous episode.

Anyway, all his friends helped him in different parts of the race and the scene of clothes melting off Kotegawa and Yami was just epic. My two favourite girls. >.< He eventually reaches a point where no one can help him whilst he stands just before the spaceship having a wet dream.

If it was me, I wouldn't wake up
However, with a little push from Haruna, he managed to carry on, winning the race and proving himself to be No.1 in the universe. This puts him in a position too to marry Lala. Lala falls down to greet him as Haruna arrives but Haruna backs down as Rito receives the crying Lala with a hug. At this point, I thought Haruna was just wonderful. In terms of character, I thought she was the kindest and loveliest of the lot as she showed her care for Rito by clapping and supporting their marriage. Obviously, she deserved Rito more than Lala, who snatched him away and didn’t completely ’win’ his heart.
Just before her marriage however, Lala realises this and decide to null this obligation by using a memory tool. With this, the deal to destroy earth is gone and Lala returns to school. Her invention failed though and everything is restored to normal. And Rito decides to reveal his feelings to Haruna.
Now, Haruna knows how Rito feels and she has more confidence in herself, hence she doesn’t need Rito’s reassurance. Lala herself learnt to earn things by herself(example: the animal cafe) instead of snatching things away by force like her father. With both having equal standing grounds, I’m sure Rito will have a headache of needing to choose in the future.
My overall thoughts of the anime

Isn't this just so sweet... poor Haruna
Whilst I always thought Haruna deserved Rito now, my thoughts changed and I thought that the ending(even when it was guessable) was good due to its twist of emotions at the end. I feel that the entire series was entertaining. Many claim that it has a lot of fanservice, which was partially true, but it was stupid in a hilarious and good way and its simple and straight to the point storyline turned this around. The fanservice was enjoyable to a certain extent because of this.
So the BIG question is… WILL IT BE FTW OR WTF… and the result is….
FTW!!!

Besides this, I would also like to comment on Kotegawa’s clothes in the last episode that made her look sexy unlike her normal school clothes. Love Love to Kotegawa.

Also, It was nice to see the tentacles on Yami too… Yummy Yami. Love Love to Yami.

Lala’s wedding look was just brilliant. It made my heart burst in blood. Love Love to Lala.

Haruna was such a sweet girl to the end. Her smile made me melt. Love love to Haruna.
And lastly for the girls:

For being a cool taxi driver. Love love to Ren!
Holy macaroni! It is a season of the SKY endings!!!
Yami and Yui are the only reasons why I’d watch this.
