A Day In New York

WAS NOT ACCORDING TO PLAN

It should not have happened but it did. I was foolish assume that things would go smoothly as long as I had planned it all out, as I did while planning for my return to Singapore. My flight from Boston Logan International Airport was delayed and it led to me missing my flight. Can you guess the airline of my delayed flight? DELTA AIRLINES!!!!!!!!!!!

NO! AN IRREGULAR FACTOR! I SHOULD HAVE SEEN IT COMING!

You called?

I was filled with dread when the plane left without me and my head began to spin.

With all the nearby hotels fully booked because of over a dozen delayed or canceled flights, I found myself stranded in JFK airport along with a hundred plus people. I am serious.

No corner was sparred in Terminal 4, people were everywhere.

McDonald’s never sleeps, it waits.

The night was spent on the cold floor as most of the benches were taken. Waking up at around 8am in the morning, I realize that there was still a lot of time before my newly arranged flight which was at 9pm. And because there was no way I was going to spend the rest of the day in the airport, I decided to ride the subway into the city for some sightseeing. As I am ignorant, I do not know what is there to discover in the Queens, Brooklyn and Bronx districts so I went straight to Manhattan to check out the famous Times Square like all other silly tourists.

The ride from JFK to 34th Street Pennsylvania Station took about an hour, and I found myself very close to Madison Square Garden. A map was bought as the city looked intimidatingly possible to be lost in if one is new to it. I spent a couple of minutes wandering around to get myself orientated with my general direction before setting off.

I should be in Singapore. Why?

True. But it be the best in the universe with Ranka.

Gawd. It was a common question during my university orientation -Have You Watched Batman?-

I wonder how would 4chan respond if it is ‘Doesn’t just wish for peace. He prays for it’ instead.

Soon I found myself in 5th Avenue.

No. I cannot afford any of those stuff for you, Kyon’s sister.

The Americans love their Abercrombie and Fitch.

Unknown to many, the events of Gundam 00 are taking place with the leaders of the world congregating to form the Earth Federation.

lol

Freedom is a brittle promise.

While I was very peeved at Delta wasting a complete day of mine, I knew better to just pout and whine. Possibilities and new experiences can always be found in those little alleys that you would not tend to explore, it is all about making the best out of everything. And guess what? I found great stuff in the city! Anything can be found as long as you look hard enough!

Yup! Loot on bed! Haha!

Before I end this post. I would like to say…. F*** YOU DELTA!

Whoa. I am not sure how should I reply to your comment but if I am to take it literally, I would not actually wander beyond places that I do not think are safe. Would be asking for it if I did that just by myself.

    @xephfyre

Well, most new blog writers tend to have this inferiority complex thing running in their head during their early days. I am bringing this up since the survey in your blog is showing hints of that!

The secret to having a good blog is to simply have fun. Writing one is all about celebrating your fandom and there is no stupid grading system to determine the quality of your blog.

So just enjoy yourself do not worry about things like zero comments or low counts. Take us for example, this blog is not very popular but we are still like what we are doing. You will do just fine, I hope. And thanks for dropping by.

P.S. You could try adjusting the font colors of your blog. It is a bit hard to read the words. lol

  14. yay yay my captn lol jeje then i’ll stick to the blac/white by now till i fond somethin suitable thanxs
