As a Sheryl fan, I can tell you that your assessment of a Sheryl fan, at least for me, is as followed:

I think Ranka’s singing is more appealing as compared to the more ‘commercialized’ voice of Sheryl, so I would have to agree with issa-sa.
But Sheryl’s ‘commercialized’ flavor was planned and emphasized upon because she is meant to present the image of her being a wildly popular artiste in the galaxy. It has to feel mainstream and ‘generic’ to non-fans. A tiger would not be a tiger if not for the strips. I digress.
