Yet another good episode this time, the animation details seemed to continually decrease each episode. It may be my own imagination. Anyway, it was still good, about my favourite girl, Tsubaki. Lets start with a picture… HOHOHO!

Summary
This episode continues the fight from last week, as Tsubaki holds the sword Masamune. She then continually battles her brother, Masamune with her soul. She seems to however be giving way to Masamune as she suffers several hp loss and the bleeding condition. Her ‘getting hit’ voice is actually quite nice to listen to, and i am not a perv… Her face getting cut.

Meanwhile Black Star gets beaten up by the villagers in Needle Town but preventing Tsubaki from any harm. Such a charmer. The story then goes on to explain about their past. Apparently, Black Star is a ‘retard’ and everyone wouldn’t be as blind as Tsubaki to see his charm. During their first day at academy, he was shouting to everyone that he would transcend God. Of course such a comment would deter people from choosing him as a Meister. However, Tsubaki was the only one who stayed back to see his embarassing performance. Thus, the two of them, Weapon and Meister got to become paired together.

Eventually, as she got stabbed in the heart, she realises that she’s not alone and that Black Star is alone. What matters is the soul, not how strong she actually is. Having been called a scentless flower, we know that she is one that bottles up her feelings and had always been giving way to her brother based on the flashbacks. She cares but her brother sees it only as pleasure to satisfy herself and feel superior by caring for others. Waking up from her uncertainty, she determinedly awoken and continued fighting wholeheartedly. The fight ends with her clashing her blade in a final attack. The screen goes white.

Sadly, she was stabbed in the heart as the she gets sucked into the sword in real life. Black Star then displayed a sense of reluctance to lose her. He continually prodded the sword. Later, it was shown indeed that she was stabbed, but as soon as Masamune realised what she felt in her heart, he just had to give in. In conclusion, she sucks him back in. The couple then arrives at Shinigami’s office with the other hero-type characters to greet them. Black Star finishes off with displaying Tsubaki’s new move, the Fey Blade Mode. As it was too strong for him, he collapsed.
My thoughts
This episode, my thoughts of Black Star totally changed. He wasn’t sophisticated, but simple. The most remarkable feature of him is his passion. He isn’t the type who would realise how much Tsubaki worries about him or ponder about his feelings for Tsubaki. However, it is proven that he is concerned about her but just cannot be bothered to think about it. I can’t wait to see how their future develops.

Also, finally Tsubaki can become a sword. As expected, there has to be a sword in the series. Every series has swords. This one just arrived later. Black Star isn’t the swordsman type however, at least not a katana. I think he suits a greatsword more. Oh well, lets wait till she ‘BANKAI!’
Next episode: We get to see some of the other villians. Good thing about the series is that it doesn’t do the same thing over and over for too long. Excitement keeps going up.

What I like about Soul Eater is that the battles, while short and satisfying, don’t drag on for episodes.
Yeah, Black Star with a huge-ass sword equals ownage.
You think so? I don’t think a great sword doesn’t suit his style…Lugging that big heavy thing around would slow him down, and Black Star focuses on speed among other things. Him being slow would only weaken him…Through I would like to see him wave a monster hunter sized great sword around too. lol
Did someone mention Monster Hunter? XD
