And I am afraid this post is pretty much equivalent to a filler episode or a recap episode of an anime. It cannot be help but ponder why did I even start this blog with my friend, the P-Meister, in the first place. I seriously cannot find an exact reason but it is probably because we wanted to have a voice in the community to express our love for animu. I mean, this is a way of showing the investment in our hobby right?

I noticed how susceptible it is to assume a style of blogging which I for instance might not really like in the first place. Probably a case of how an impressionable person would want to blend into the community quickly or attract as many readers as possible. Now I am not pointing fingers at anyone because I would not know whether the bloggers out there are doing what they really like simply because I cannot read their minds like that cop from Heroes. And I will not accuse anyone of doing so because that would be silly. I am talking about myself as reflect on my thoughts and actions over the past few weeks.

Perhaps it is the worst nightmare for most bloggers to be ignored. Yet I see the irony in assuming a persona which is not representative of the blogger’s nature. Beg to differ if you wish to, but to blog in a style that does not define you makes your blogging experience more like a job rather than a hobby. If it is not your cup of tea, then please put it aside. When you are blogging about the things that you truly enjoy, a single comment by a reader is worth more than say thirty comments that goes like ‘HAHA. THAT IS KEWL! HO YEA!’ on a post which you had forced youself to write.

The success of the blog is not determined by the volume of your readership but by your own satisfaction.

With that in mind, I would constantly tell P-Meister to do what he likes to do. And look at him, he is posting about silly stuff like TO LOVE RU HENTAI and he is having the time of his life. There is absolutely no reason in restricting yourself from doing what you truly like and I will always remind myself about that.

Well then, if you would excuse me. It is time to open the tavern for there are weary travellers to tend to. Goat milk anyone?

  • Just blog what you like guys, what matters most is that you both enjoy yourselves. (: Coming together (from different countries) to blog as a team is already not a small feat.

Hurray! I got that Maria-sama ga Miteru picture in my folder ^.^

  • The P-Meister > You are half about hentai. The other half belongs to The Sojourner.

  • I agree with Hynavian. Even if no one cares anymore, I still blog about Allison and Lillia simply because I still enjoy watching it, and for the 2-3 readers who probably still do. As for them eroge reviews, P-M, if you write it, I’ll read it lawl.

  • I actually started blogging so that I could better understand animes. I had no intention of reading *anyone’s* posts unless I had a question regarding that specific episode. So… I had intended only reading episodic blogs.
Well, a big fat failure that become, lols. I found the blogosphere rather interesting and am (working) on becoming part of it. In any case, I come back here because I enjoy reading what’s here.

  • I blog because I know that if I quit now people are going to cry. LOL! No, that’s not true, no one likes me >_> Again, that’s a joke.

But blog w/e, I’m still reading!

  • HAHA. THAT IS KEWL! HO YEA!

  • Go for blogging what you want, when you want, for whomever you want.
Because we like what we like, so there! :P
